There is always something bigger than us but that doesn’t mean we can’t be happy about it.

I did this logo for a client and they are happy about it! Cool, funky, hip, grunge-y and retro all in one.

(Oh yes, if you tried or are going to visit the site, it is no longer there. )

What a cute little pear – he has big dreams indeed!

It is, to me, a great typography. It is funky and new. The colours are vibrant, the font type looks futuristic, and the edges are so sharp I’d bet it’d cut any paper ever so finely. But alas, it was a work gone wasted. This was for a certain project I did years ago but it was never put to use – but damn, I am a proud father of this treasure!

I will be sharing more of my works that I did many years ago and hopefully, they will shine despite their age.

This week’s topic for Illustration Friday is “Midsummer Night”.

This one is a tough one, but the topic reminded me of a performance I saw before called “Midsummer Night’s Dream”. What I could recall from it is a fairy dancing with a moon backdrop behind her…

The illustration was drawn and coloured with watercolour pencils and digitally enhanced with photoshop.

I chanced upon Illustration Friday and thought to myself why would I not take 5 minutes of my time and doodle something easy?

So being the random person that I am, with accordance to the topic of the week – which is “Launch” – I drew a robotic rocket.

There are probably a few theories that you can deduce from this simple drawing.

But being simple is good.

The rocket robot is on its way to space!
